Dr.Faheem Ahmed Khan. B.E.,M.E.,PhD

Principal

Dr. Faheem Ahmed Khan completed his BE from SJCE Mysore in 1996, ME from UVCE , Bangalore in 2005 and Ph. D from JNTU Hyderabad in 2015.

He joined Ghousia College of Engineering, Ramanagara as Lecturer in 1998. Later became Assistant Professor and later Associate professor, Professor and R and D director. Later he was promoted as Professor and Head, Department of ECE.

He was promoted and transferred to Ghousia Institute of Technology for Women, Bangalore as the First Principal in the year October 2023.

He has 26 years of teaching, research and administrative experience. During the course of his stay, he has guided many BE and M Tech projects. Under his guidance TWO students have completed their Ph. D.

He has published over 80 research papers. Many of them are either IEEE Transaction Papers or Scopus indexed Journals and UGC peer reviewed journals.

For his publications, VGST, Government of Karnataka has recognised and awarded with Award for Research Publications (ARP). He has developed NPTEL course modules. He has given lectures on electromagnetic fields in different Faculty Development Programs conducted by different colleges and universities.

Dr. Jawaharin Basha B.E., M.Tech., PhD

Professor & HOD-EC

Dr. M. Jawaharin Basha has 31 years of experience, including 25 years in teaching and six years in Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science. He holds a Ph.D. in ECE from Rayalaseema University and an M.Tech. from IASE Deemed University. He is a ratified professor by JNTUH and has served in various academic and administrative roles, including Professor, Registrar, Dean of Administration, and NAAC Coordinator. Currently, he is a Professor & Head of ECE, GITW, Bengaluru.

His extensive teaching career spans multiple institutions, including Ghousia College of Engineering, Shadan College of Engineering & Technology, and Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology. He has also worked in hardware engineering and network maintenance. He has been involved in staff selection as a university nominee, AICTE and JNTUH regulatory compliance, admissions, and examination coordination.

Dr. Basha has organized technical symposiums and workshops and has published research papers in international journals on topics related to wireless communication and network optimization. His expertise covers subjects like Digital and Analog Communications, Electronic Devices & Circuits, VLSI Design, and ARM Processor Architecture. He has attended and presented papers at national and international conferences.

Dr.Parveez Ahmed H M. BSc.,MSc., PhD

Professor & HOD-Chemistry

Dr. H.M. Parveez Ahmed, earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Mysore University and his Ph.D. from Bangalore University. He was a professor of chemistry at Ghousia College of Engineering, Ramanagaram, before his appointment at Ghousia Institute of Technology for Women, and put on 35 years of teaching experience. He joined this institution in the year 2023 and is working as a professor and head in the Department of Chemistry. He has produced two Ph.D. graduates and one M.Phil. candidate. He published about 15 Research papers in International journals and presented over 50 Technical papers at National and International conferences.He completed two research projects sanctioned by VGST and K-Tech District Innovation Hub, New Age Innovation Network, Govt. of Katakana.

Mr. Ahmed gained international recognition for reviewing the International Journal's-thin Solid Films and received a letter of appreciation from the editorial board for his Outstanding Contribution.

Apart from his academic experience, he worked on many university assignments.

1. He was appointed as Chairman Board of Examiner of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, for the academic years 2019-20 and 2021-22.

Dr.Muneer Basha BSc.,MSc., PhD

Professor & HOD-Mathematics

Dr. Muneer Basha is Professor in the Department of Mathematics with Ph.D. in Mathematics [Differential Equations]. With over 34 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Basha has expertise in areas such as Differential equations and PDEs. Dr. Basha has published 06 researchpapers in reputed journals and 08 presentations in conferences. He is passionate about fostering innovation and academic excellence in engineering education.

Dr. P. Zaheerudeen Saheb BSc.,MSc., PhD

Professor & HOD-Physics

Dr. P. Zaheerudeen Saheb is a Professor of Physics with teaching experience spanning over 38 years, teaching UG and PG (Bio Physics and Quantum Chemistry). Has a flair of encompassing the concept into factual realization in the Lecture sessions. Had a specialization of Nuclear Physics in M.Sc. from Bangalore University where he developed a program in Fortran IV for computing the nuclear size and nuclear radius using card reader in the Department of Instrumentation, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, for his dissertation work. His passion for research led him to acquire Ph.D. in Physics – Material Science and Thin Films from Bangalore University.

He was selected to pursue research under the Faculty Improvement Program, with collaborative assistance from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. During the research he designed the few instruments / devices:- (i) Developed Thin Film coating unit for thermal evaporation with installation of insitu thickness monitor with substrate maintained at high temperature. (ii) Cold finger for insitu conductivity studies of thin film samples at low temperature using liquid nitrogen interfaced with Keithley data acquisition device. (iii) Devised Thermo-power measuring device for bulk and thin film samples and (iv) Designed Pre Amplifier for high impedance glassy samples using Auto-compensating Intersil IC. Has three major research publications in International Journals and two in National Journal. Has the Poster presentation on optical sensor at Indo Japanese Workshop at New Delhi. Conference papers were accepted in ICMAT 2001 at Singapore and ROCAM 2003 at Constanta, Romania. Awarded O+ (Outstanding) for a project work in 2000 titled “Re- entry Trajectory of a Ballistic Missile” in the Department of Space Science, University of Pune, Pune. Has to his credit regular Bangalore University assignments over three decades. Member Board of Examiners in Bengaluru Central University in 2018 and 2019 and Chief Examiner, Bengaluru City University 2020.

Dr.Mohammed Naveed. B.E., M.Tech., PhD

Dr. Mohammed Naveed is  a distinguished Ph.D. holder in Mechanical Engineering, presently working as an Assistant Professor at Ghousia Institute of Technology for Women in Bengaluru. He boasts an exceptional academic background and an extensive knowledge base in the field of study, backed by over 14 years of experience in educating, motivating, and guiding students within the realm of Mechanical Engineering. His Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, earned in 2017 from Ghousia College of Engineering, Ramanagara under Visvesvaraya Technological University, stands as a testament to his academic prowess. Prior to this, he completed his M.Tech in Manufacturing Science & Engineering in 2010 from Ghousia College of Engineering, Ramanagara and his undergraduate degree, B.E. in Mechanical Engineering in 2007 from Dr.Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Bengaluru under the same Visvesvaraya Technological University umbrella. He has published about 30 research papers in esteemed International and National Journals and Conferences. Mrs. Ayesha Sultana B.E., M.Tech.

Ayesha Sultana is an accomplished academic professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ghousia Institute of Technology for Women.

She holds an M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from Ghousia College of Engineering, Ramanagara (VTU), a B.E. in Computer Science from BMS Evening College of Engineering, Bangalore.

She has held multiple academic roles across institutions affiliated with Ghousia, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to education. Starting as an Instructor at Ghousia Polytechnic for Women from August 1991 to May 2006, they progressed to Lecturer at the same institution from June 2006 to May 2016. Subsequently, she advanced to the role of Principal/HOD at Ghousia Polytechnic for Women in June 2016. She joined the Ghousia Institute of Technology for Women as an Assistant Professor in September 2023. This career trajectory reflects over three decades of experience in academia, with a focus on women’s technical education

Ayesha has led impactful projects, including an AI-driven Healthcare Chatbot, Trust Modeling in Social Tagging Systems, and a Traffic Control LED Display using microprocessor technology. Mrs. Farha Mubeen. B.E., M.Tech.,

FARHA MUBEEN is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ghousia Institute of Technology, Bangalore. She holds an M. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from JAIN UNIVERSITY, Bangalore, graduating with first-class distinction in 2012. She earned her B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur, in 2009.

Her research and project work include a privacy conscious location-based queries in mobile environment” it is an effort towards providing Location Based Services (LBS), users with location aware mobile devices are able to make queries about their surroundings anywhere and at any time to protect location privacy, one typical approach is to cloak user location into spatial regions based on user specified privacy requirements and to transform location-based queries into region-based queries. We identify and address some new issues concerning this location cloaking approach.

Farha has actively participated in various workshop programs, like “TheRoleofGenerativeAIinAcademicsand Research”, Organized by: VTU. Additionally, she has completed online courses in JAVA, Data Structures, Basics of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning through platforms like UDEMY and Infosys Springboard.

Mrs. Ruksana Banu. B.E., M.Tech.,

Mrs. RUKSANA BANU is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering with an M.Tech in CS&E. With over 5 years of teaching experience. Mrs. RUKSANA BANU has published research paper in reputed journals. She have been enrolled as a Member of The Institution of Engineers (India) and placed in COMPUTER ENGINEERING Division. She aspires to utilize her extensive teaching expertise and passion for knowledge to foster academic excellence. NaziyaFarhath C H is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ghousia Institute of Technology, Bangalore. She holds an M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from City Engineering College, Bangalore (VTU, Belgaum), graduating with first-class distinction in 2024. She earned her B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Karavali Institute of Technology, Mangalore, in 2010.

Her research and project work include a Distributed Cellular Network, which explores the use of distributed antenna systems (DAS) for efficient wireless communication; a Fake News Detection system leveraging Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to identify misleading news; and a Solar Tree Street Lighting System utilizing "spiraling phyllataxy" techniques for energy efficiency in highway lighting.

Naziya has actively participated in various training programs, including a six-week Python internship and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) on AI, deep learning, and image processing. She has also undertaken societal projects in collaboration with Swabhimaan NGO. Additionally, she has completed online courses in Cloud Computing, Ethical Hacking, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Machine Learning through platforms like Swayam NPTEL, VTU, and Infosys Springboard.

She has presented research at international conferences and published a paper titled "Nano Street Lighting System" in the Journal of Emerging Technologies and Innovative Research (JETIR) in May 2024. She aspires to contribute to academic excellence through research, innovation, and community engagement while continuously developing her technical and management skills.
